Hot on the heels of my Barrett birthday post, happy birthday to ANOTHER brilliant rock n’ roll spaceman, Mr. David Bowie. Great performance of “Starman” from what I imagine is euro TV in 1972. Bowie was never greater than he was with The Spiders as his backing band, and particularly with Mick Ronson on guitar spitting lightsaber guitar leads as he does here!
